These ice pops aren’t for eating; they could make you sick. But that’s the point. Three art students from Taiwan created them from polluted water. The project aims to inspire people to take better care of Earth’s waterways.
The students spent two months and $3,000 traveling throughout Taiwan. They collected water samples from 100 lakes, rivers, ports, and parks.
To make the ice pops, the students froze the polluted water and sewage they’d collected in ice molds. They listed the ingredients too, including motor oil, cigarette butts, and bottle caps.
